Step right up to hear
Jason Aldean perform

Jason Aldean’s “Six String Circus Tour” closes out the summer season at Blossom at 7:30 p.m. Also on the bill are Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses. Tickets are $31-$71 at http://livenation.com.

Have a monster good time

The annual Bigfoot and Minerva Monster festival begins with a film fest at 6 p.m. Friday, continuing Saturday with speakers and presentations beginning at noon, including a talk by the curator of the “world’s only cryptozoology museum.” The event will be at the high school on Almeda Avenue and in Minerva Municipal Park. For more information, visit minervamonsterday.com.

Head on over to Barberton

Tuscany on Tusc will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday on a stretch of Barberton’s Tuscarawas Avenue. Modeled after the Taste of Akron, it will feature local vendors. Admission is free and patrons will buy tickets for food and beverages. The new canopy of lights will be unveiled between Fifth and Third streets. It’s also Fourth Friday in the arts district, and the busy weekend in Barberton continues with the Mum Fest on Saturday and Sunday.

No More Mr. Nice Guy

The elaborate architecture of the Akron Civic seems like an appropriate backdrop for the theatrical Alice Cooper, who plays at 8 p.m. (Check out his official website, which pitches him as a presidential candidate: “Make America Sick Again.”) Tickets are $39.50-$99.50 at www.akroncivic.com, 330-253-2488.
