A Ravenna woman was arrested by Streetsboro police for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol twice — in the same day.
Both times, Dawn Kvasnicka’s breath test showed her blood-alcohol level was more than four times the legal limit for driving in Ohio, police said. In the second stop, her blood-alcohol level was higher than the first, according to the Streetsboro Police Department.
Streetsboro police received a call about an erratic driver on state Route 303 about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Officers stopped the vehicle on state Route 43, north of state Route 14. Police say Kvasnicka showed signs of impairment and was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol (OVI). Kvasnicka, 48, was taken to the police department where she gave a breath sample of 0.371. The legal limit is 0.08. She was charged with OVI and released to a friend.
About 2:45 p.m. that day, Streetsboro police again received a call about an erratic driver on state Route 303. Officers stopped the car in the police department driveway and found that Kvasnicka was the person driving. She was again arrested and given another blood-alcohol test, this time testing at 0.385, according to police.
Kvasnicka was charged with a second OVI and taken to the Portage County Jail.
