The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal pedestrian-vehicle accident early Friday in Wayne County.
Dead is pedestrian Jonathon M. Murray, 27, of Wooster.
The accident occurred about 2:08 a.m. on state Route 3 south of Meadow Brook Drive in Wooster Township.
Murray was lying in the northbound lane and was struck by a commercial truck towing a box trailer driven by Todd Wagner, 48, of Navarre, the patrol said.
Wagner’s truck struck Murray as he was northbound on state Route 3.
Murray is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol, the patrol said.
Murray was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wagner was uninjured, the patrol said.
State Route 3 was closed for about three hours.
