A 43-year-old Akron woman died after being run over by her boyfriend, police said.
The woman was found lying unconscious in the 2000 block of Briner Avenue around 1 a.m. Sunday. She later died from her injuries.
Authorities said she and her boyfriend, Jeffrey L. White, 41, of Akron were arguing at her residence on Briner before White got into his 2001 Cadillac and struck her as he was leaving.
He fled the scene, police said.
He was later arrested and charged with felony hit-skip. Additional charges are pending.
White is being held at the Summit County Jail.
The victim’s name has not been released, pending her family being notified.
