A doctor’s office in Jackson Township was raided by local and state officials Wednesday morning, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office reported.
The raid occurred after a search warrant was served on Premiere Family Practice, 7452 Fulton Drive NW. The practice is run by Dr. Frank Lazzerini.
The attorney general’s Healthcare Fraud Unit was involved along with Jackson Township police, the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office, the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Ohio Medical Board, the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and the METRICH drug task force.
Attorney general spokesperson Dan Tierney said the police and prosecutor’s office were the leads in the search warrant execution. Calls to both agencies and to the practice were not immediately returned Wednesday.
