A man accused of robbing a bank on Friday morning was arrested that same day at an apartment near the crime scene.
Travaun Tucker, 23, of Russell Avenue, was arrested in the 1000 block of Weehawken Place, located less than a mile from the FirstMerit bank on South Arlington Street that was robbed.
Tucker faces a charge of aggravated robbery. He’s being held at the Summit County Jail.
According to bank employees, a man entered the back of the branch, approached the teller counter and demanded money. He wielded a handgun during the robbery, police said, and he fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
