A Canal Fulton police officer dislocated his shoulder after he lost control of his police cruiser and struck a utility pole late Saturday, according to Canal Fulton Police Department.
Officer Robert D. Stetka Jr. was responding to an emergency call when he failed to negotiate a curve on North Milan Street. Stetka lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole.
Stetka was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital.
Stretka was trapped inside the 2007 Chevrolet Impala before being freed by firefighters.
Stretka was wearing a seatbelt, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
The patrol is investigating.
