Senior Nathan Bower-Malone and sophomore Coryon Rice compiled enough offense for the Bulldogs (7-2) to defeat the Falcons (7-5) on the road Saturday.
“[Firestone] really penetrates aggressively and goes to the boards hard,” Stow coach Dave Close said. “Firestone is no slouch. They have five really nice players.
“We played well. We shot the ball well. We got the ball to the open guy fairly well. We were successful at moving the ball and getting open looks, and we got a couple in transition. We were opportunistic and we had a lot of guys contribute.”
Bower-Malone recorded a game-high 18 points and Rice chipped in 16, and each had four 3-pointers.
The Falcons were paced by senior Jaylin Moore, who had 13 points.
