A Stark County man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a Dec. 12 hit-skip accident in Green that injured a jogger.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Shahan, 45, of Marlboro Township.
Beacon Journal news partner newsnet5.com reported Shahan turned himself in.
He was charged with tampering with evidence, stopping after an accident on public roads or highways and responsible control of a motor vehicle. Two of the charges are felonies; one is a misdemeanor.
The 36-year-old woman jogger was struck about 9:34 a.m. while running on state Route 619 near Mayfair Road.
She was transported to Akron General Medical Center with what officials described as serious injuries. Newsnet5.com reported she has since been released from the hospital.
