Area park districts are seeing a rash of thieves smashing windows to break into parked vehicles, Beacon Journal news partner Newsnet5.com reports.
“It’s a shame that people can’t go to the park and not be a victim of a crime,” Bath Township police chief Mike McNeely told the television station.
Similar thefts have occurred at Summit County Metro Parks, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Cleveland Metroparks and an Akron dog park, the station said.
