It’s nice to know that in a universe where standing-room-only tickets go for as much as $850 for the World Series opener at Progressive Field, there are real bargains to be found tied to the Fall Classic and the Cleveland Indians.

For one, how about the Canton Symphony Orchestra offering a special concert promotion?

Or two words favored the world over, never mind the World Series: Free food.

The Canton Symphony Orchestra’s MasterWorks “All American” concert takes place in Umstattd Performing Arts Hall the same time as Game 4 of the championship series Saturday in Chicago.

Concert-goers are asked to wear Indians-related hats, jerseys, jackets and/or pins to qualify for a 25 percent discount off their ticket purchase at the door. Tickets for the concert begin at $28.

The first 500 people who enter the performance hall also will receive a special sports bottle.

Don’t worry about finding out how the game is going. (You will turn your cellphone off for the concert, right?) Conductor Gerhardt Zimmermann will give score updates from the podium throughout the evening. And during intermission, the game will be broadcast on the hall’s big screen.

Besides the regular performance, the orchestra plans to perform a special piece to showcase their baseball pride.

Doors open at 6:45 pm. The concert starts at 8 p.m. Umstattd Performing Arts Hall is next to the Zimmermann Symphony Center at 2323 17th Street NW, Canton.

Now, on to the food bargains. (This is not intended to be an inclusive list.)

Taco Bell says it will dish out free Doritos Locos Tacos as part of its “Steal A Base, Steal A Taco” promotion at participating stores. Go to https://www.tacobell.com/stealabase for the details.

Chipotle says local customers wearing Cleveland Indians baseball gear will qualify for a buy-one, get-one promotion. For more information, go to https://chipotle.com/cleveland-baseball-promo.

If you can’t go to the ballpark, then how about Eat’n Park?

Guests wearing Indians attire at Northeast Ohio Eat’n Park restaurants during the series will receive a free smiley cookie with their meals. The free cookies will be at Eat’n Park restaurants in Austintown, Boardman, Akron’s Chapel Hill area, Medina, Mentor, Parma, Warren and Willoughby.

And Cleveland-based Inca Tea will give away free boxes of its Peruvian purple corn-infused tea – if the Indians win the World Series. The offer will be good only on the day after an Indians series win.

If the Tribe does indeed win, tea-drinking fans can visit www.IncaTea.com to receive a downloadable coupon for one free box of its infused tea blends.
