Akron police are investigating a shooting shortly before noon today that hospitalized a teen.
The shooting was in the 2300 block of 29th Street Southwest. Police said a woman reported she let three males into her apartment to visit her 19-year-old son then went to her room.
The mother told police she then heard a scuffle and shots fired. The victim was found on the floor with a chest wound. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
Her son was transported to Akron General Medical Center. He is currently listed in serious condition.
The suspects are three black males, 15 to 18 years old, wearing all dark clothing. One suspect had dreadlocks.
