The Summit County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 29-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man for growing psilocybin mushrooms.
Arrested on Tuesday was Jack Kennedy of the 2000 block of Stone Street.
He was charged with trafficking drugs and possession of drugs. Both are felonies. Additional charges are pending. He was taken to the Summit County Jail.
Authorities seized about one pound of the mushrooms which are a controlled substance. He had allegedly been growing the mushrooms at a mushroom-growing facility on Stone Street.
They also confiscated three loaded handguns and a loaded shotgun.
The investigation was conducted by the Summit County Drug Unit that involved federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
