Browns vs. Titans: Quick Hits
What went right: Coming off an injury to his chest and rib area suffered last week, quarterback Cody Kessler had an impressive outing. His career-high 336 passing yards were second most by a rookie in Browns history. He took several huge hits but still led a late rally.
What went wrong: The Browns converted just 3-of-14 third downs (21 percent), rushed for only 40 yards on 15 carries (2.7 average) and surrendered six sacks. The defense was gashed by Titans QB Marcus Mariota, who had passes of 48 (touchdown), 43, 26 and 21 yards, plus a 41-yard run.
The bottom line: The Browns can’t wait to start clicking until late and expect to win.
