Starting tonight, HGTV will share actress Monica Potter’s renovation of her childhood home in Cleveland.

The new series, Welcome Back Potter, premieres with back-to-back episodes at 11 and 11:30 p.m.

The show will follow Potter’s restoration efforts, undertaken with the help of her mother, Nancy, and sisters Kerry, Jessica and Brigette.

Potter grew up in Cleveland’s North Collinwood neighborhood and in recent years purchased her family’s 1924 home, which had been abandoned and was in disrepair.

According to an HGTV news release, Potter and her sisters discovered little had changed since the family sold the 1,800-square-foot house in 1987. “Everything from the rickety front steps, old wallpaper, furniture and even childhood mementos” remained, the release says.

The show documents the home’s transformation, including the creation of an open-concept kitchen and dining area and the inclusion of contemporary touches. The house will showcase decorative items from Potter’s Monica Potter Home business, which opened its first shop near Garrettsville in February 2015 and more recently opened a store in downtown Cleveland’s Old Arcade.

Potter lives in Los Angeles, but the family intends to use the house as a gathering place. She is best known for her roles in the movie Con Air and the NBC series Parenthood.
