Akron police said a man reported he was shot Monday while trying to sell marijuana.
According to a police report shortly before 10 p.m., a 33-year-old man drove over to Washburn Street and Tressel Avenue to sell marijuana. While the victim was in his car, an unknown person fired several shots at his car. The victim was struck in the abdomen and arm. The victim drove his car to a business at South Hawkins Avenue and Diagonal Road where he called the police.
The paramedics transported the victim to Akron General Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
The officers found 65 grams of marijuana in the victim’s possession. He was charged with attempted drug abuse.
