What went right: Kicker Cody Parkey bounced back and running back Isaiah Crowell dominated. Parkey made both of his field goals from 51 and 45 yards. It was a major improvement after he made just 3-of-6 field goals last week in a 30-24 overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins. Crowell had 15 carries for 112 yards (7.5 average) and a touchdown to go along with three catches for 22 yards.

What went wrong: Three turnovers in the second half killed the Browns as they lost the turnover battle 3-1. You know what else hurt them? Two big pass interference penalties called on Browns defenders as they covered wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Free safety Jordan Poyer’s penalty in the first quarter cost the Browns 50 yards and cornerback Joe Haden’s penalty in the fourth quarter yielded 21 yards. Washington capitalized both times with a touchdown.

The bottom line: The Browns had an opponent on the ropes for the third week in a row and let them off the hook.
