An Akron man who went to buy a motorcycle he found on Craigslist reported to Akron police that he was robbed of $5,000 Monday morning by four men who held him at gunpoint.
The 22-year-old man said one of the men approached him in the 1500 block of Fairfax Road in Akron, where he agreed to meet them to buy a Harley Davidson Dyna motorcycle. The supposed seller, who used the name Arwil, led him down a driveway to the other three men.
The buyer reported the four men took his wallet — which had his driver’s license, the money and his Social Security card — before fleeing.
The man described the alleged robbers as four black men age 20 to 25 years old. The supposed seller stood at 5-foot-10 and weighed about 130 pounds. He had short black hair and a goatee and wore a white shirt and blue and red Chicago Bulls shorts. The second suspect was about 5-foot-9 and weighed 200 pounds, using the name Young Driel.
The reporter said he contacted Young Driel and Arwil by Facebook and text message to set up the buy and was warned after the alleged robbery to not to contact police.
No further description was provided for the other two men.
