Akron Police say women in two separate incidents stabbed men on Tuesday over relationship issues.
Police accuse 40-year-old Jenny Marie Lenihan of stabbing a man on Park Street after catching him with another woman. Lenihan was arrested and charged with felonious assault and possessing a crack pipe after the Tuesday incident.
According to police, officers went to the 200 block of Park Street after receiving a call about a stabbing. They found a 57-year-old man with a stab wound in his abdomen and Lenihan standing near him with a knife in hand, police reported. The man’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Lenihan, who’s listed as homeless, awaits court proceedings in the Summit County Jail.
In the other incident, a woman and her boyfriend were arguing. Police said the woman called her sister, 27-year-old Tierra Snipes-Terrell, who allegedly came to the home and stabbed her sister’s boyfriend in the leg.
The stabbing occurred at about 11:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Diagonal Road. Snipes-Terrell, of Carnegie Avenue in Akron, allegedly fled before police arrived. The man, 54, suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
An arrest warrant was issued for Snipes-Terrell on charges of felonious assault. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at 330-375-2490.
