A 15-year-old Brunswick girl has been found safe after an Amber Alert was issued following her alleged abduction by her father on Monday.
A Northfield police officer noticed a truck matching one owned by 40-year-old William Roberts and began a brief chase. Roberts, the girl’s father, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and fleeing and eluding. He’s being held at the Summit County Jail.
Roberts is a registered sex offender with a drug history, Brunswick Police reported.
Police issued the Amber Alert on Monday. The girl was last seen at the Kmart at 3301 Center Road in Brunswick. She had been removed from her father’s custody last week.
