An Akron police sergeant is on paid administrative leave after he was accused of driving with a blood-alcohol limit more than three times the legal limit, according to Beacon Journal partner newsnet5.com.
An Ohio state trooper cited Sgt. Michael Lugenbeal, 55, for operating a vehicle under the influence. According to his ticket, Lugenbeal was driving northbound on George Washington Boulevard near Hilbish Avenue just before 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3. The ticket said Lugenbeal was driving 47 mph in a 35-mph zone.
