TWINSBURG: A police standoff that lasted almost five hours ended with the suspect dead, according to news reports.
The incident started after Twinsburg police responded to reports of a shooting on East Idlewood Drive at 5:51 p.m., Beacon Journal news partner newsnet5.com reported.
Police asked residents to stay away from the area because they suspected someone was barricaded inside a home. One person was transported from the scene in unknown condition.
A Twinsburg Fire Department captain confirmed to Cleveland 19 News that the suspect was dead, but it was unclear how he died and whether he was armed.
No other details were available as of early Monday morning.
