SOLON: Police have identified a woman who was shot and killed Saturday morning after she was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Solon.
Solon police identified the woman as 53-year-old Deborah J. Pearl of Warrensville Heights. The other driver was taken into custody. He was not identified but police say he is a 29-year-old from North Ridgeville.
Officers responded to reports around 7:20 a.m. that there was a car crash and gunfire near the intersection of Solon Road and Richmond Road.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a 5.56 mm rifle and a woman who had been shot several times and left in the roadway.
