Bridge demolition work in Stow is going to lead to traffic changes and detours on state Route 91 beginning Monday.

Stow officials said starting Monday, traffic near Fishcreek Road is scheduled to shift to one lane northbound and one lane southbound on the east side of Route 91.

A temporary signal will be placed at the Shoppes of Stow and Bruegger’s Bagel Drives.

Eastbound Fishcreek Road traffic will be closed off at state Route 91 starting Monday and will remain closed until the bridge work is finished as expected in December.

The bridge will be built one side at a time.

Drivers should expect long delays during peak hours until they find alternate routes, the city said.

Detours will be posted. The bike trail that runs under the bridge will remain closed until the bridge is replaced and the trail is fully restored.

For more information, contact the Stow Engineering Department at 330-689-2719 or e-mail City Engineer Jim McCleary at jmccleary@stow.oh.us. Updates will be posted at www.stowohio.org.
