A woman was abducted, driven off-site and sexually assaulted Monday morning while walking to Aultman Hospital in Canton, Beacon Journal news partner newsnet5.com reported.
The woman was walking to the hospital from the parking lot near Sixth Street and Bedford Avenue at approximately 5:25 a.m. when a man approached her with a knife and forced her into the back of a car, police said.
The woman drove back to Aultman Hospital for treatment and called the police around 7 a.m.
Police on Monday were determining the route taken and where the stops were made, newsnet5.com said.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 180 pounds, and in his late 20s. He was wearing a grey hoodie and sunglasses.
