A 15-year-old boy faces charges in connection with a shooting late Saturday night in South Akron, according to Beacon Journal news partner NewsNet5.
Details about what happened are murky, but the teen was arrested after police found a 19-year-old shot in the face inside a stolen Jeep Liberty, the report said. It’s unclear if the man shot will survive.
The shooting happened late Saturday in the 500 block of McKinley Avenue, a couple of blocks north of Lovers Lane.
The boy is charged with felonious assault and receiving stolen property. Police also intend to charge a 19-year-old man who fled the shooting scene.
Police did not release the names of any of those involved.
