BATH TWP.: The owner of a Medina tree trimming company was in critical condition Thursday at Cleveland Clinic Akron General after falling about 50-feet the day before.

Brian Lutheran, 36, was injured about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday when he and another employee were removing dead or dying trees from a home on Appian Way, Bath Township Police Chief Michael McNeely said.

Lutheran is a certified arborist who has owns Premier Tree Care & Landscape, according to the company’s website. He was tied off to a live tree as he leaned to work on another tree when the live tree uprooted, taking Lutheran and nearby power lines down with it.

FirstEnergy had to cut power to the downed lines.
