Visit Italian American Festival at Lock 3 in Akron
Mangia! The much-loved Italian American Festival opens at 11 a.m. for lunch, running through 11 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Lock 3 Park in downtown Akron. Festivities include an Italian wedding soup tasting from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and on Saturday the Andrea Rose Teodosio Memorial Run/Walk, a homemade wine contest and fireworks. Catch a goldfish in the Falls
Kids can have some fishy fun in Cuyahoga Falls’ wading pools with the free annual Goldfish Catch at 6 p.m. Children in various age groups will have a chance to chase and capture a few goldfish at all six wading pools.
