See fireworks display at McKinley library
Last-minute donations and sponsorships have saved Canton’s fireworks display. The city’s Independence Day fireworks will be held at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. The monument grounds will open at 7 p.m. The Greater Canton Concert Band will perform at 7:15 p.m. until the fireworks, which will start at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Celebrate Independence Day in Massillon
Massillon’s City of Champions Independence Day Celebration will run from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at Paul Brown Stadium. The free event will include a Li’l Miss Liberty and Li’l Uncle Sam pageant for kids ages 3 to 7. There will be family activities, food and entertainment. New Wave Nation performs at 7:30 p.m. The event will concludes with a fireworks display.
Attend some Fourth of July concerts
Wadsworth’s Fourth of July weekend festivities include a concert at 7 p.m. with the Wadsworth Community Band at the Central Intermediate School. In case of rain, it will be at O.J. Work Auditorium on Tuesday. There will also be a concert with Get Back from 6 to 8 p.m. at the gazebo in the square.
Get filled up on ribs at Lock 3 Park
The Rib, White & Blue festival on South Main Street between Bowery and State streets continues to blaze away. Sunday’s lineup at Lock 3 Park next to the Civic Theatre includes Zach and the Bright Lights at 6:30 p.m. and Hotel California, a tribute to the Eagles, at 8:30 p.m.
