Cleveland’s larger-than-life LeBron is staying home.

The 10-story banner of NBA champion LeBron James will remain in downtown Cleveland after fans cried foul over Sherwin-Williams’ plans to temporarily take it down.

One online petition urging the company to keep the banner up accumulated nearly 24,000 supporters.

The maker of paints, stains and coatings previously intended to take down James’ banner on its corporate headquarters near Quicken Loans Arena for the summer and replace it with a new sign celebrating the company’s 150th anniversary.

That meant the oversized banner of James would disappear during the Republican National Convention and be reinstalled in the fall.

“As a longtime supporter of the Cavs and the entire community, we want the energy and excitement in this city to continue,” Sherwin-Williams President and CEO John Morikis said in a statement on Tuesday.

The company, which employs 3,000 people in Northeast Ohio, also donated $150,000 to the LeBron James Family Foundation.
