Learn about plants, animals at Hale Farm
The Sow and Grow Farm Festival at Hale Farm continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn about draft horses and oxen, wheel plowing a garden, beekeeping and chicken keeping, sheep shearing, fiber dying and more. The Citizens of Hale will be holding a plant sale with historic and heirloom shrubs, perennials and herbs will be offered. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 3 to 12, free for members. www.halefarm.org.
Fill up in Cuyahoga Falls at the Food Truck Frenzy
The Food Truck Frenzy and Concert Series kicks off at 5 p.m. at Keyser Park Barn, 851 W. Bath Road, Cuyahoga Falls. It offers music by Rebekah Jean and the Chardon Polka Band, acitvities for kids, and food from Wholly Frijoles, Stone Pelican Rolling Cafe, Zydeco Bistro, The Beachcomber, The Orange Truk, Metropolis Popcorn and Rita’s. Sharpen flint knapping, spear head knowledge

Catch the start of Akron Farm and Flea Market
The Akron Farm and Flea Market, in the parking area outside of Musica, 51 E. Exchange St., in downtown Akron, kicks off this Sunday. The market will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the second Sunday of each month through September. In addition to local farmers, vendors include Stagecoach Antiques, Birchwood Supply, Land of Plenty, Goodwill Blue, and Ms. Julie’s Kitchen.
