Chipotle is hoping to fuel the Cavs championship series with burritos.
The popular chain is offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday to anyone wearing Cavaliers gear.
The offer is limited to Ohio.
“Most locations in Ohio will honor it,” Chipotle tweeted. “Cleveland, Akron and Canton for sure will.”
Past deals like this — including its popular Halloween cheap Boorito offer — usually resulted in long lines stretching outside the chain’s restaurants.
Chipotle confirmed the Cavs deal Thursday afternoon on Twitter.
The chain would not say whether Warriors fans would have to pay double for their burritos.
Rival Taco Bell has a standing offer to give away a free Doritos Locos Taco from 2 to 6 p.m. June 21 should either the Cavs or Warriors “steal” a home game.
So far, home cooking has proved to be the right recipe for both teams as neither has lost a home game.
