See old-fashioned ‘base ball’ at Stan Hywet
Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens will host a game of vintage “base ball” with the Akron Black Stockings at 1 p.m. Sunday. Players will use old-fashioned equipment, uniforms and dialogue, and you may even hear the Black Stockings team song: “Huzzah, Huzzah, the boys in black stockings, huzzah!” Stan Hywet is at 714 N. Indulge in food, music at Tallmadge’s Food Truck Festival
Tallmadge’s Food Truck Festival has become home to one of the largest single-day gatherings in the region. More than 20 trucks have signed up for the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. event that will set up in the Tallmadge Recreation Center parking lot at 46 N. Munroe Road, off East Avenue, east of Tallmadge Circle.
