LeBron James and Justin Bieber could square off for homecourt advantage at Quicken Loans Arena

Justin Bieber fans find themselves basketball followers rooting for a Cavaliers sweep of the Detroit Pistons in the NBA playoffs.

Bieber’s nearly sold-out world tour is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. April 26 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland around the same time that Cavs fans would be finding their way to their seats for a potential Game 5 in the first round of the playoffs against the Pistons.

Should Game 5 be necessary in the seven-game series, the NBA contract trumps any other scheduled event at the arena and the tipoff will go off without any Beliebers in the stands, Cavs officials said.

The Cavs say they have already reached out to the concert organizers to make contingency plans should the concert have to be postponed.

The calendar at the arena can get a bit crowded in the spring with the Cavs, the Monsters hockey team and Gladiators indoor football team all vying for dates with concerts and other events.

Fans of the Canadian pop rocker should not give up hope just yet, as history is on their side for the concert to go on as scheduled.

The Cavs have a 13-game winning streak in the first round of the NBA playoffs. They have swept their last three first-round series.

The only tickets remaining for Bieber’s Cleveland concert are single seats in the $50 range in Section 213 with limited vision of the stage.

The Cavs have already sold out all 20,562 seats inside Quicken Loans Arena for its playoff run.

The first game in the Cavs’ run for a national title is at 3 p.m. Sunday in Cleveland.
