A motorist early Wednesday survived a major crash with heavy damage at Akron’s central interchange, according to newsnet5.com.
The westbound car on Interstate 76 at state Route 8 truck a guard rail and the impact tore off both passenger side doors and the passenger front seat, Akron police reported.
The driver was transported to a local hospital and was expected to survive.
No other vehicles were involved in the 2 a.m. accident.
The vehicle was attempting to go north on state Route 8 from I-76, police said.
