A 39-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man is going to prison for beating up his girlfriend — and killing her kitten.
Quinn Wooley pleaded guilty Feb. 3 to domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, and cruelty to animals, a first-degree misdemeanor. Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Paul Gallagher sentenced Wooley to one year in prison Wednesday. He faced up to 18 months in prison.
Cuyahoga Falls police responded to a call at Wooley’s Howe Avenue apartment Nov. 29 for a report of domestic violence. Quinn’s girlfriend had blood on her head and said Quinn punched her several times. She also said Quinn strangled her kitten. Officers found a dead kitten in the home.
Quinn initially told police his girlfriend fell because she was drunk and hit her head.
