Akron authorities are looking for a man who assaulted another man with a knife during a robbery in a parking lot of a fast-food restaurant Sunday night.
The University of Akron issued an alert to students because the robbery took place just off campus at 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of East Exchange Street.
The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to a local hospital, the university said.
The suspect, who fled south on Kirn Avenue after the incident, was described as a white male, 5-foot-8, age 18 to 20 and weighing 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt that said “Hoban.” He had blond facial hair.
