An Akron school principal sent a letter home to parents after a 9-year-old girl was approached by two men in a white pickup truck earlier this week, Beacon Journal news partner nesnet5.com reported.
The girl, a third grader at Pfeiffer Elementary School, was approached by the two men while walking on 9th Street on Wednesday, but nothing happened, said principal Regina Llewellyn.
The two men are white and one was described as older with a white beard and glasses.
Police have increased patrols near Akron schools.
