See Neil Young film in theaters
Fathom Events presents “An Evening With Neil Young” at 8 p.m. in theaters, with the post-apocalyptic musical comedy Human Highway and the concert film Rust Never Sleeps. It will also feature a live Q&A with Cameron Crowe interviewing Young and the cast, including Jerry Casale of Devo. Specials hopping for Leap Day
Leap Day brings specials at several area stores, restaurants:
• “Leaplings” — those born on Feb. 29 — can eat free from a special menu at Hard Rock Cafes. (You’ll have to show a valid ID, of course.) Hard Rock has locations in Cleveland and Northfield Park. www.hardrock.com/leapday.
• Giant Eagle and Market District stores are offering a free petite birthday cake today to those with the once-every-four-years birth date.
• The Galaxy Restaurant in Wadsworth is celebrating all day, with a frog leg special for $2.29, all draft beers $2.29 including from Hoppin’ Frog Brewery, and 29-cent wings and mussels. Leaplings can eat free here, too, up to $29 in value. They’ll even have a classic Frogger game in the lobby.
• Nuevo Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar in downtown Akron is marking its second anniversary with an all-you-can-eat party for $50 a person.
